It's Harris By a Mile in Woking Man of the Match Poll

In our first Man of the Match vote of the new season following Tranmere's opening day home game against Woking, Jay Harris takes the award by a comfortable margin.....

After five days of voting following the opening game of the new season, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's 1-0 home win over Woking last Saturday, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was Jay Harris. 

After a goalless first half, it was Jay Harris himself who gave Rovers the lead when a free kick in a dangerous position was passed short to him and he rifled a superb strike into the top right corner of the goal giving Woking goalkeeper Jake Cole no chance.  That goal just before the hour mark proved to be the only goal of the game and handed a Rovers a vital three points to begin the season.

As you can see from the poll below which saw a total of 33 votes cast during the slightly shortened voting period this time around, Jay Harris polled a massive 45% of the vote (15 votes) with Matt Hill coming in second place with 18% of the vote (6 votes).  Only two players who started the game failed to receive any votes for Man of the Match (Ihiekwe and Sutton) whilst substitute Adam Mekki also polled 3% of the vote (1 vote) alongside starters Scott Davies, Liam Hogan, Lois Maynard and Cole Stockton.
