my heart says a win, my head a draw. going with my head and predicting 2~2. actually have a feeling that we might win and it will put us all in high spirits for the weekend then go and screw up at southport. that would be bloody typical.
I am going for 3-1 with us playing like Stoke under pulis or Bolton under the moustached @#$%& alladyche kick anything that moves and hoof it up the park
Whatever the the team they put out they will be up for it first local derby for 25 years they will have about 1500-1900 shouting there support plus half our crowd getting on our players back it will be like a home game for them we take them lightly at our own peril

With them having a depleted side anything other than 3 pts is not an option. Hope the crowd get behind the lads a good performance and result could really kick start our season im going 2-0 and the biggest crowd so far in this division 6,200
The little tip rat came from the kop managed to get to the half way line and back not one steward went near him till he got back in the crowd think we deserved the win on another day could've been by a bigger margin
Quite happy today, decent defensive display. And and some good attacking play, with some better finishing should of been 4-0. Still don't like the way we invite the pressure after going 2-0 up, was starting to think it may go the same way as kidder minster at one point. Playoffs are in reach again ! SWA
I think at 2-0 we started to struggle God know what would of happened if the pen had been scored! But we are getting there I thought That Chester were half decent glad there big lad upfront didnt start the game.
So a win and a more fluent team performance I can see this being the kick start to our season.
Thought we'd miss Ridehalgh and a very brave decision to drop him. Seemed to work. Even though Maynard has scored a few, felt like he hasn't played brilliantly.
I was surprised Ridehalgh dropped. Decent 1st half but thought we dropped to deep in 2nd half, ended up with 5 or 6 at back. Dawson looked ok going forward but wasn't interested in tackling back which I felt left our right side exposed. Still in need of a solid right back although michael looking a little better
Dawson was fantastic and I don't know why he subbed him. We should have won by 4 or 5. The idiot on the pitch looked like a Chester fan because he was clapping at them. I thought we played excellent and looked solid all round. I thought the energy dropped off near the end Norwood was shattered. The forwards did not stop working. And what a save from Davis made up three points in the bag.

agree I know it's not michaels natural position on the right does ok but sometimes he doesn't know wether to stay out on the right seems to wanna come into the middle which leaves gaps to attack the right side we did sit back a bit second half but more than happy
A good result and I think there is going to be more positivity going into the Southport game and there's no reason why Tranmere can't win on Tuesday and the potential to be in the top 5.
I think they just need to go out on Tuesday and own it.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first half which was one of the best I've seen us play for a good while. Norwood's goal was superb-we won't get many better this season.Second half,I thought we sat back far too much-if the penalty had gone in,it would have been squeaky bum time again,
That is the sort of performance is been hoping for all season long. First half they couldn't cope with us, Dawson and Norwood causing them so many problems. Nor woods goal was absolute class, one of the best I've seen in ages.
It was just a complete team performance today and we looked very balanced for a change. I see today as the start again after some poor performances this season.
On a side note, how bad was the ref today. Every 50-50 he gave to them and I've no idea how Kay didn't get booked for that bad tackle on Mekki and two mins later Dawson gets one for his first foul of the game. He was begging to give that penalty too which I didn't believe was one because he got pushed.
Still cannot grumble as we deserved those three points. Onwards and upwards boys.
great win but important not to underestimate southport on Tuesday. thought they might have been on to a right mauling at forest green yesterday, but not so.
Most cohesive performance I've seen so far. Dawson looked an asset, but one swallow etc. Apparently stewards are not allowed to touch someone under the age of 17. Not sure why PC 45 didn't try, however.
A good performance and deserved win amazing what happens when we attack teams from the off and play with two wingers. Norwood should really have scored a hat trick but what a fantastic goal he did score. lets hope we can do the same on Tuesday.
Did anyone here anyone moaning? Much to my surprise apart from one silly old sod who will never be happy, didn't here any negative comments what so ever in the Town End. Having said that though there was so much abuse coming from the paddock area towards the away end that it was hard to hear anything!

Well done all-same again on Tuesday please,
Completely agree. We had been saying for about 10/15 minutes that we seemed to be be letting them back in the game, and then came the penalty. However, after the save, we pushed on again, and really should have scored at least 1 more. So much better than the televised game
