Norwood is Chester Home Game Man of the Match

In our latest Man of the Match vote of the season which related to last Saturday's 2-0 home derby win over Chester FC, it was goalkeeper goalscorer James Norwood who was voted as your Man of the Match for the game.....  

After a full week of voting following Tranmere's 2-0 home derby win over Chester FC last Saturday, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was James Norwood.

The Rovers striker had a number of good chances in the game but stole the show with his wonder goal in the first half when he collected the ball on halfway, ran past several Chester defenders and slotted the ball home to the delight of the home support!  That goal gave Rovers a 2-0 lead to add to Liam Hogan's header a few minutes earliermand was a lead that Rovers held on to despite John Rooney missing a second half penalty for Chester.  

As you can see below, the poll saw a total of 26 votes cast during the full length voting period this time around.  Norwood polled 35% of the vote (9 votes) with the other goalscorer in the game Liam Hogan in second place with 19% of the vote (5 votes).

Goalkeeper Scott Davies, who saved Rooney's second half spot-kick, Steven Jennings and Jay Harris were all in joint third place with 12% each (3 votes) whilst the only other players to poll any votes were Ritchie Sutton, Matt Hill and Adam Dawson qith 1 vote each (4% of the vote).
