50/50 odds says if Brabin loses, Dinamofookdarest will be bleating on here about him. Funny how the critics tend to keep shtum when a manager starts getting a bit of form, but they rarely apologise or even speak well of a managers good points or the teams, when such people get some form.

I'm nervous about tonight. In the past few matches we've had defense, attack and midfield all playing very well but never at the same time. In every match it seems that some part of the team seems to fall apart. If they all click at the same time we'll rout someone but can we get everyone firing together?

Actually didn't realize Aldershot are in form and have won 4 in last five including a 3-1 away win at barrow last week! .... my 3-1 predication is now a nervy 1-0 win...

they did have a good win at barrow on Saturday but their previous away game ended in a 4-1 defeat at Grimsby.

And every game is a new contest. Ok, form may count for something but if we keep it all together then we can win. 1-0 would be Ok, but I could cope with 2 or 3 nil.

Hmmmm, so the team seem to be getting a pattern together playing 4-4-2, so tonight we change to 3-5-2?

A gutsy move, let's see if it pays off.

Despite the frustrating nature of the game from our viewpoint I don't think the goal was unfair on Aldershot.

Since they scored they have continued to deny us time and space but have threatened little.

1-1 seems fair at half time

Did some of our fans really boo when in the last minute we kicked it out because we had a player down injured (Dawson I think). You boo when the OTHER team does that not your own side when their t 3-1 up in the last minute ffs

The clearest game of two halves you're ever likely to see. We were so bad in the first half that we were even giving the York away performance a good run for it's money as the worst ever.We were exceptionally lucky to get the equaliser through a lucky rebound off one of their defenders but Norwood stuck it away well.

Change Blissett for Mangan, presumably a big half time rollocking from Brabin and the difference was startling. More of the same [second half standard]please on Saturday. Was worried when I saw Maynard at right back, particularly when they scored easily in the first five minutes, but he had a good game

I disagree totally regarding the York game Hoots! After Aldershot scored they barely threatened our goal all game and although yes we were sloppy first half I still felt we'd score at some point which we (deservedly in my opinion) did before half time!

I have never in all my years of watching tranmere left at half time to gt a burger before the whistle is blown.... tonight i did.. and missed the equaliser!! Altho.. had to laugh... the guy behind me missed it too.. then went to the toilet and missed our second one too!!! Haha.. lesson learnt from now on!!!

Our equaliser was totally undeserved-it had been so bad that it was almost embarrassing to say it's 1-1. York were no great shakes in the first half either but we.........

Totally different to York in my view mate. Can't put my finger on it but just didn't feel anywhere near the same!

Aldershot had as few chances as us first half after they scored really. Equaliser not unfair for me!

Can't believe people are still moaning! We won and scored three goals, what do people actually want? We are in the 5th tier of the football league, this is as good as it will get and people need to wise up very quickly to that or go and support a premiership team.

A poor first half while the new defensive formation settled down. We ran Aldershot ragged in the second half a put in a good performance. Well done Gary and the team.

Not a great first half. Aldershot did not threaten us, but they still showed fight and chased everything.

Mangan substitute made the difference as it gave us a bit of mobility upfront.

Good 2nd half and totally dominated the game from then on

Re: Match Discussion: Aldershot Town (H)

First 44 minutes was the worst I've ever seen Tranmere play. Not an over reaction, it was simply astonishingly bad. It was lump it forward to Blissett, who in turn would mis control it or head it to no one. That and a couple of free kicks that were either overhit or terrible (Norwood one) was all we did.

Goal was a defensive howler from them although a good finish and we were extremely lucky to go in at 1-1, although they didn't do much either apart from the goal as the away side they limited us to nothing.

Brabin finally saw the light 45 mins too late and took the useless Blissett off for Mangan, and we started playing. Everybody raised their game, Jenno was excellent second half, and the third goal was class. I came away happy with the result, but worried about why we start games so slowly and also Brabin's extremely odd team selections.

45 minutes too late would suggest we didn't turn the situation around but we did! So maybe it was a case of seeing the light 45 minutes early?!

I know what you meant though!!

Yeah looked a definite penalty to me too and from my view (Main Stand Beb End) it looked clearly over the line for the goal as well!
