Jennings and Mekki Share Aldershot Man of the Match

In our latest Man of the Match vote of the season which related to last Tuesday night’s 3-1 home win over Aldershot, we can reveal that both Steven Jennings and Adam Mekki shared your votes for Man of the Match for the game.....     

After a full week of voting following Tranmere's 3-1 home win over Aldershot last Tuesday night, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, were both Steven Jennings and Adam Mekki in a tied result.

Rovers fell behind to a very early first half goal from the visitors but worked their way back into the game and scored an equaliser on the stroke of half-time which wasn't undeserved to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Tranmere's second half performance though was a totally different story as they dominated the half from start to finish, running out eventual 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Adam Mekki and Andy Mangan. for a much deserved victory.

As you can see from the poll below, both Jennings and Mekki polled 33% each of the 24 votes cast (8 votes each) to share the award for the game whilst Lois Maynard, playing out of position at right back due to defensive injuries in the squad, came in third with a further 13% of the vote (3 votes).

The only other players to poll votes for the Aldershot game were Adam Dawson and substitute goalscorer Andy Mangan who both polled 8% of the vote (2 votes) and James Norwood who polled 4% of the vote (1 vote).
