Following yesterday afternoon's 1-0 home defeat to Dover Athletic, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

Despite a performance that was well below some of the recent games Rovers have played in, the home side were good value for a draw after a second half increase in performance that saw them hit the post and have a number of other decent opportunities.  However they were ultimately robbed by a point as much by the awful refereeing decision that saw the visitors goal be allowed to stand after a handball, as their inability to finish their chances.

Dover took the lead when Ricky Miller controlled the ball with his hand in the penalty area and fired past Iain Turner for a 1-0 lead they took into half-time.  Rovers made a change at the break with Andy Mangan replacing Liam Ridehalgh and the visitors' timewasting began almost immediately and lasted the whole of the second 45 minutes.

Despite striking the post and Sutton missing a glorious opportunity in the dying moments, Rovers couldn't take their chances and had to settle for a defeat in another bruising game.
