Mekki Contract Extended

Tranmere have confirmed this afternoon that they have extended the contract of Adam Mekki until at least the end of the season...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tranmere have this afternoon confirmed the long-awaited for news that they have extended the contract of winger Adam Mekki until the end of the 2015/16 season with a performance-based option for next season.

The 24 year-old player, born in Chester, had originally signed a six-month deal with Rovers at the start of the season after impressing during a pre-season trial with the Club.

He has since gone on to make an impact in the first team with 27 appearances and two goals for Rovers so far this season and has become a fans’ favourite at Prenton Park.

Speaking of the extension of Mekki's contract, Rovers Manager Gary Brabin said.....

“Adam is still young and has a lot of potential and we’ve seen that in the first few months of his time here.  We know that there is still more to come from him and I’m excited to be able to continue working with him."

“We’ve given him an opportunity to play a number of games this season, which he hasn’t done at his previous clubs, and he’s done well so we’re delighted that he has agreed to remain at Tranmere Rovers.”

Good news although i do have a horrible feeling that GTF confirmation will follow shortly. He will replace Mangan on the wages

Great news. A shining light in an another so far torrid season. Hope everyone doesn't start relying on him to much as we are still pants with him in or out of the side. But again great news

Good signing i guess, doesnt always produce the goods, but does 50% of the time. Prefer him over a player that doesnt at least work hard, hes always totally out of steam by the end of the game and his shirt filthy, unlike the Stevi Daz (i mean Jennings)

Agree with this! He's not always consistent or productive but he tries hard and we'd be much worse off without him! Good news!

Adam has potential to improve and his improvement since the beginning of the season is noticeable.

Agreed he can fade out of games in the second half but, like Saturday, usually after a couple of heavy tackles and no protection from the referees.

Confident of continued improvement so very good news.

Happy with this, he has improved as the season has gone on lets hope it continues.
