Mekki Takes Macclesfield Man of the Match Honours

Following last weekend's 1-0 defeat at home to Macclesfield Town, you voted Adam Mekki as the Rovers Man of the Match for the game...

After more than a full week of voting following Tranmere's disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Macclesfield Town last weeekend in the National League, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was Adam Mekki.

Rovers fell behind to Macclesfield totally against the run of play in the first half and despite two missed penalty appeals and a strangely disallowed goal right at the death, Rovers were unable to equalise and the visitors stole all three points.

As you can see from the poll below, Mekki took the honour with 33% of the total vote with Michael Ihiekwe in a fairly close second place with 22% of the vote after his strong defensive display. 

Matt Hill, Steven Jennings and Jay Harris all polled 11% of the vote with Steve McNulty's one vote giving him a 6% share of the overall vote.  In a previous poll which we didn't cover the results from, it was McNulty who won the Man of the Match award for the 1-0 home win over Altrincham in late December.
