You weren't trying to climb into the ground were you without paying??

I said in the week I didn't want to be critical of Higdon too soon and today I thought he did really well winning the ball and laying it off a number of times - yet still got abuse from the idiots by me and was cheered off as well when his number came up on the board.
As I've said on the Man of the Match thread there were lots of contenders with my top three being McNulty, Hughes and Mekki but went for Hughes who was brilliant in the middle of midfield!
We are inept in front of goal, we need a striker desperately, our TOP scorer is someone I consider a decent goal scoring midfielder but not a forward, how many goals have we scored from penalties? We don't look capable of scoring from open play, one good attempt with great save from there keeper.
I was very disappointed with performance today, but we won which is main thing
Don't know where 5 or 6 came from I can't even remember 6 shots on target?
Team-----------Points Per Game----Projection
1. Cheltenham-----2.26---------------103.83
2. Forest Green----2.17---------------99.67
3. Grimsby----------1.88---------------86.42
4. Braintree---------1.69---------------77.63
5. Dover-------------1.68---------------77.16
6. **Tranmere**---1.63---------------74.91
7. Gateshead------1.62---------------74.41
8. Eastleigh--------1.56---------------71.88
9. Wrexham--------1.56---------------71.56
10. Lincoln City----1.49---------------68.34
An interesting note...we went the entire month of February without a non-penalty goal. At this point we only care about winning, regardless of how we do it but that is an alarming stat. Great result today!

Deadly - funny how we all see the game differently. That game had 0-0 written all over it for me. Neither side looked like they had a goal in them. Penalty was a disgrace I thought, blatant dive for me but should have had one for handball so evened out.

We could have been 3-0 up inside ten minutes. Apart from five minutes towards the end of the first half, Chester never had a sniff it was all Rovers. Chester were sloppy, playing hoofball and looked generally out of the game for most of it.
We are doing ok but still no cutting edge in my opinion, I feel we are only 1 or 2 players away from being a decent side at this level.
Next game us a big one
We are all made up with the win and just want to see games where the opposition can't get back into it. Particularly when they are rubbish like Chester were.
If we keep playing like that today then goals are sure to follow.

I hope you are right!
Me too Kenny! I know I might seem to be overlooking the goals thing but for me if the results are coming then they're coming!

Never did Arsenal any harm,

You're right it is three points same as any win,but what's at fault is that it's another penalty we can't expect any official to give us a penalty every time we want to win a game. It's goals from open play we need now starting this Saturday not the one after or the week after but NOW.

Why is it ''at fault''? A penalty, set piece, own goal as well as open play. They all count as the same..
Please please Gary, bench higdon. He was absolutely awful again and if I was Stockton I'd be very disappointed he was ahead of me in the pecking order. He was bought to score goals but can't even pass properly or run. A complete waste of a wage.

I remember one point early in the second half, the attack had already broken down and the ball had gone out for a throw in, he was still laboring up into the box and ended up bent over with his hands on his knees....why is he being picked to play when he's clearly not up to it??
Margetts to start up top with Norwood from here on for me. Although I've campaigned for GTF to be the player to sit behind Norwood and play him in, I'm starting to feel this "big target man" Brabin has said that we apparently needed, just doesn't seem to be working.
Yes, we got the win, and that's all that matters to me, but going forwards that is the main change I'd like to see.
Completely agree with Sub that it could have been more, disagree on Higdon though. He doesn't jump, and I think his demeanor doesn't help him. Offers nothing in my opinion and I would like to see him benched. I honestly think Cole could offer as much as him.
Apart from that, faultless. McNulty was fantastic, and we looked a solid unit.
We can make the play offs but it would be easier to be confident if we could be more dominant. As it is any away team scoring one goal has a very good chance of taking points from us.
We should take three points off Gateshead and their defence is vulnerable but Can we really feel confident that scoring once a game is a recipe for promotion?
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Nobody can be as bad as Guy Madjo.
Every ball is a white ball............TRFC
One reason? He played in the same international side as Jason Roberts.
Makes me wonder then why every Liberian international, wasn't getting £25,000 a week in the big leagues 15 years ago, just because they played their matches with world footballer of the year winner George Weah.
Baffling Barnes logic.
Then again Panama used to have the Dely Valdes brothers playing in the La Liga, so maybe Fergie should have started stocking his squad with 3-4 Panamanians on handsome wages and won the title with players who never played in a world cup.
That would have cost him his name on a stand immediately, when the team never got into Europe, as the fans would never have forgiven him for Panama gate

Having seen Margetts quite a bit including in Reserve games I think anyone who thinks you'll get more work out of him than Higdon is kidding themselves a little bit to be fair!
Have to bow to your superior knowledge on his performances but from what I have seen he has an eye for goal which is what we need I think
