Tranmere dominated the first half of the game and could have had more than just James Norwood's first half strike to their name at the break but failed to take other chances when they came their way in the opening 45 minutes.

Rovers started the second half much slower and although never really troubled in front of their own goal, Rovers came under more pressure from the visitors the longer the half wore on to the point where Rovers fans perhaps began to sense an kick in the teeth was to follow in the shape of an equalising goal just like the 2-2 draw against Harriers at Prenton Park.

However, just when the game looked like it had the potential to swing back in the favour of the home side, James Norwood broke clear and finished low into the far corner in front of the Rovers support for his second of the game and the match and three points were done!
