Total Tranmere brings you the first of a number of Summer updates about Pre-Season games involving Rovers as the plans ahead of the 2016/17 season take shape....
Tranmere have earlier this week confirmed their first pre-season fixture of 2016 and Total Tranmere will bring you news on the pre-season games as and when they are announced during the course of the summer.
Tranmere will face League One side Bolton Wanderers at Prenton Park on Tuesday 19th July with the game forming a Testimonial match for Rovers Legend Warwick Rimmer who played 469 times for Bolton before becoming a big name at Rovers through his continued development of good youth players in the Rovers Academy system across three decades from 1987 to 2008.
There have also been reports that Rovers will host Merseyside neighbours Liverpool at Prenton Park before the Premier League side head off to the U.S for a series of pre-season matches on the other side of the Atlantic although no date has yet been confirmed for this game.

Being honest, all the sites on Sportnetwork deactivate automatically if no new story is posted for about two weeks and since my last story was on 3rd May (busy time for me at the moment) I needed something to publish and this seemed like as good an article as any!
