Only listeniing on the radio but can't wait. more of the same is the order of the day.

Don't think these will be contenders this year, will be disappointed if we don't take 3 points. It's early doors but this is a big game were 3 points will gap us on the rest of the division and defiantly send a message. Eastleigh was a massive result because a draw would have sent the message that you can come to PP and get something, a win tomorrow will send the opposite message. I said early on that 9 wins from the first 10 are possible.

when they came to Prenton last year I thought they were a very well organised team who came and did a job on us. Think our extra firepower and creativity should do them this time round.

We have our impressive away form and our current league status to consider, a blemish on either of these would be a massive blow.

I'm sure the lads will feel the same way and will put in another good shift?

We are making history at the moment, another away game without defeat and hopefully another impressive win will be what everyone will be playing for tomorrow night!

It was after the corresponding game last season that our manager made his infamous "It's a hard place to come statement" I'm expecting that we won't find it so hard this time and win (2-0 maybe).

Looking forward to this which is amazing after last season when it was one of the worst games I've ever seen. I live in London , sometimes watch Bromley, so I'd seen Boreham and to watch Tranmere not really try to win against such an average side indicated to me that there wouldn't be promotion. Hopefully, this season will be very different. So far so good. Incidentally, can anyone remember another competitive game when we've (just) outnumbered the home support? (Probably not again tomorrow 'cos it's a Tuesday and they've had a good start - highest position in their history.)

If you fancy a beer beforehand, I also live in London. Used to work at Stanmore so will be interesting to see how surrounding areas have changed. Weather looks good for tomorrow.

A chance to make intentions known early in the season. I'm going for a big win 4-1.

Hoping we continue our tremendous away form with a good win. Think we had more fans than them last season at meadow park. Shame this game isnt on a saturday for a top o the table clash , would have been more there. A long way to go for rovers fans tonight. On a side note, arsenal ladies ( who use borehamwoods ground ) get bigger attendances than what borehamwood do.

Almost a year since I witnessed my first Rovers defeat against a non league team ever - the nil two at home v Borehamwood. I believe the away game was pretty bad too. It cannot be that bad again can it? Heart says 3-0 Rovers; head says 1-0. Either way, retribution for last season.

Its great that we've got all these games coming thick and fast, especially as we are winning them! I will be listening on the radio. Tonight I think BW will be very organised and difficult to break down so am going for a respectable 1-1, while hoping for something better.

Strangest refereeing I have seen for a long time. Vaughan was aok. norwood hardworking as usual. Borehamwood didn't really have a decent shot.

The seems to be a common theme of refereeing getting worse each game this season though!

A great start to the season it is early days and again there were some odd results tonight but we are looking hard to beat.
I still feel that the team will evolve as the season unfolds and that in due course Stephenson will come into the equation. Can we be this years Cheltenham? Despite my instinctive caution this start says yes.

I make us 8 points up on last season already

It was a fairly dominant performance, in truth they really didn't have a kick at goal to note. The defence looked solid apart from a potentially similar mistake to the one that cost us a goal against Eastleigh. Could easily have been 0-3 but will take the 0-1 all day.

Another outstanding result! Now let's concentrate on getting some space between us and the league!

Perfect start. After the first 4 last season we had 10 pts which was also very good but we failed to win any of the next 4 and only won 1 of the next 7. Can't see that happening this season. Looking really strong.

This is brilliant! I can't wait for Saturday, where I am predicting another win, I've never been so confident in rovers!

I also love the fact that when you lose your place, you don't get it back. That must give the subs real hope, as players will get injured, so if you do well, you keep your place.

4 outta 4 , well done rovers. Long may this continue.. seems as if we have landed ourselves a good player in connor jennings.. I saw him play the first half of the liverpool pre season friendly and was impressed..

This has been great, however we really need to start at looking at fielding a weaker team as we've got some very important FA Trophy Vase and FA Cup games coming in the next few months 😉

See that b'wood had jordan chiedozie coming on as a sub for them last night, son of john.

Disagree with hardly irons about fielding weaker team because of cup games coming up ,do well in cups a bonus but we must get out this hell hole strongest team all the time for me don't give any one of our rivals a chance ,noticed last night without the SWA the gate would have been about 450 how do these teams survive on these gates ,another promising factor the game was described as techy meaning a bit physical with 5bookings and a sending off ,but rovers stood up to it again which is good to see ,last season they physically lost the battle thus the game ,but not this season .it must be said once again the missed chances is rearing its ugly head it's churlish to moan after 4/4 wins and I will be accused of being negative or worse and one game we will give someone a hiding But we really do need to fix it .how I don't know

An a plus with a first goal for Jennings, takes the pressure of him somewhat.

Hi higgo, I set the alarm for 2:30am last night here in hk to see if I could get radio commentary. Only updates on wirral radio so chanced my luck with bbc radio merseyside and luckily I could get it with full match commentary but within 5 mins of kick off fell right back to sleep and missed the whole lot.

Not sure what you expect when it was fourth game in 10 days and away against a team who were second and who had beaten Dover and Forest Green.....

And the referee second half was making strange decisions.

Point taken about many games but that is hardly excuse for missing so many chance a drop in pace etc fair enough but not getting one on one with goalkeeper or actually rounding keeper and not scoring could be costly ,it's not something you can fix in training you can score every time at Raby but some how fail in a match. don't forget we had the 4th worst goals for total last season .i am a happy bunny this season but just saying we need to take more chances

I think hardly was being sarcastic fifty. I get where you are coming from with the goals thing, but to be fair we have scored twice in the previous 3 games, and scored 3 in two away games. Last year Brabin spoke about parked busses and whilst it was seen as an excuse there was some merit to it. I really doubt that we will run away with any game this season because any team playing us knows we are dangerous and the majority will be playing for a point, Eastleigh was a big result as it reinforces that feeling as will last night, the most important thing is that the team stretch this winning run as far as possible which will build the confidence in both players and fans. The games won so far are also ones we faltered in last season, a 0-0 at Borehamwood, defeat at home to Eastleigh.

Also a 5 point gap over Wrexham and FG who I think will be the main contenders for top spot.

Thought it was a comfortable win. Could have been 0-3. It wasn't a great match but miles better than the same game last year. The officials were very poor. We were almost half the crowd. Feeling confident about this season.

It wasn't exactly one on one. He rounded the goal keeper and the shot was going in except for a BW play hurtling in from the left and kicking it off the line. The goalkeeper did enough to force Norwood to go around him, giving time for the defender to rush back. It was near the end and Norwood had run his socks off again. It is a marathon not a sprint and I am sure they will hit 2 and three fairly regularly soon.

Leicester won the premiership on the back of a lot of 1-0 scorelines.

I can see the point about scoring more goals, when there's enough opportunities to do it, but as it stands it's a good thing that the goals are coming from more sources and although Norwood is top scorer, there is, I feel, more backup now and the ability to get goals a bit more easily from all over the park.

The main thing is getting the wins and it's an opening run of wins not seen for close on 100 years, according to the main site and initial evidence suggest Brabins retention was prudent and that maybe, just maybe, he could go on to equal or better Johnny Kings achievements, but it is early days on that one.

Brilliant start and if they go 5 from 5, I will really start to believe that the top spot promotion is on, especially if the gap was 5 points after 5 games.

I just hope the team doesn't do a Forest Green, win a load, then lose a player like Norwood or Cook to a few games of injury and then get weak form, causing the others teams to reel Tranmere back in.

I'm confident that won't happen though and hopefully Connor Jennings will get a boost from banging it in the net and get a few more in the next 8-10 games.

I wonder if Brabin got Tranmere back into league 1 and kept them up, if the statue of Kingy would be replaced with one of him and Brabin in a clinch, because Brabin would have to be considered one of the best Tranmere managers in history by then wouldn't he?

It's an interesting one with all this mention of breaking records etc... I wonder do they actually really count as we are not a league club ?

Tranmere scored 2 goals in first three games and 1 in a win in the fourth. Why the emphasis on 1-0 score lines?

Not a great game for the neutral, but plenty of positives from a Rovers perspective. Three points. Another cracking goal. On another day, it would have been a couple more. Another clean sheet. Never really looked like conceding - to coin a phrase from the Echo report - we were comfortable in keeping them at arms length. We were always confident in our quality and looked like we had a couple more gears to go through if needed. And some of the pressing from the front was excellent - Jenno especially. As for the sending off, the lad looked like he had red mist after being caught by Nors in the lead up to the goal - he clearly kicked out at Harris, and had to go.

Come on guys it's a great start but let's not get carried away otherwise when we do go on a poor run, which we will, all teams do, we won't see the wood for the trees, but I do think we are going to win the league :-)

it would be nice, though, if some of those who endlessly wrote "we were rubbish" last season, even though we had the best away run for years, would come on and actually admit things have been better so far, even if it IS early days.... their silence is deafening. Still, just wait till there is a bad game, which is inevitable in a full season.

it appears that there is a problem in gaining footage of connor Jennings goal the other night at borehamwood, so there is a fun kind of recreation of the goal on the club website,

Forgot to mention the fantastic team spirit/work ethic in evidence this season. Everyone knows their job - and does it 110%.

Spot on that!

That wouldn't happen, as the hardcore gripe merchants who never seem to write anything positive and spread much doom like malaria ridden mosquitos, wouldn't flip-flop on their stance; but at least if they won't admit things are positive right now, which would be the ideal scenario, at least them saying nothing is better the the boo hoo hoo wooden spoon outcome about pretty much everything.

I don't mind people expressing some negativity to towards sports teams and individuals, when it's done constructively or objectively, but when it's for almost every little downside with no seeming acceptance of positives, it's gets a bit much frankly.

I think the fun video is a great idea. Made me laugh. Maybe we should do one simulating the scoreboard. Have two people hold up the numbers for the goals, then have someone with a Happy Birthday an rand balloons run by, followed by "how's that, Goosed?"

Boreham Wood's statement in particular is very unprofessional and bordering on immature. Sounds to me like they suddenly think being in this Division makes them big time?!

well I see nothing wrong with chesters statement, borehamwoods response is very unprofessional.. is this the reason why we have not been able to see connor Jennings goal? btw, it looks as if that pic of some of their fans on the borehamwood page is from the cow sheds last season.

To be fair, if they have to survive on 800 supporters and less per game, then I think £50 to £80 isn't unreasonable, given that the channel is charging for live broadcast. Much ado about nothing.

I agree with Borehamwood on this one. They are not asking for a greedy amount, as clubs like that don't work on principles of greed and money squandering initiatives unlike some clubs of the past I:E: Leeds and Portsmouth.

If Chester attempt to profit by making money out of fee based subscription services, then they should accept that any teams played away, who are asking for a small contribution to provide content for the visiting team, are entitled to do that and unless the fee asked for is exorbitant, which it clearly isn't, then there is no unreasonable action from the team asking for it, so the visiting team has the right not to pay the fee of course, but then they should lower their subscription cost accordingly and make clear to potential subscribers exactly what they are paying for, including lack of footage from one or two away matches.

Apart from anything else, if you advertise your subscriber service in a way that implies certain content will be available and you provide less content than was expressed in your promotional output, it can be classed as obtaining money by deception, because you're promoting a pay for service in a way that becomes not consistent with the promotion.

I'm not directly accusing Chester FC of any financial impropriety, because I don't know what they legally dictate on their subscriber services and don't really see the need to know, but I think they need to keep their affairs in order a little more, because they're fans a getting it for these decisions, so deflecting attention onto Borehamwood is a bit poor really.

The phoenix from the flames was class. I saw some mobile phone footage from the Boreham Wood game and the PftF was pretty accurate.

Have we been told why BWFC (same initials as you know who :-0) haven't given us the video footage? Is it to do with money?

I was really disappointed at the end of last season. I thought Brabin should be given another year but I was unsure he was the right man. But fair play. He's done really well in keeping a core of players together and adding to it. So well done Brabin.

My only thought is that after watching two home games he's slightly slow in bringing on subs and when he does there is only 5mins left of the match to go! Very minor thing in what is an almost perfect start to the season!

It was almost perfect because we only won the game in the last minute of extra time. To say something was perfect means that we couldn't have improved on it. But I think we could. It would have been perfect had we scored 3 or 4 and won comfortably. Had Norwood missed his one-on-one (which he has a habit of doing) then we would've dropped 2 points at home.

But that didn't happen?

I know it didn't happen. But I'm trying to explain what the team could do to improve i.e. score more goals and win by a greater margin. Who knows. At the end of the season goal difference might be important.

But all the above comments are small things. They've done very well this season...better than I expected. So well done the Palios', Brabin and players.
