Update under new management
Rovers Crest

August 18 2021
You may have noticed that the message board has become less fractious. A new Admin has been put in to place and they are attempting to remove duplicate accounts and focus on keeping the message board a civilised place. Please bear with us as we try to settle the new system down and deliver a message board that better reflects the interest of supporters.
Not much will change in terms of the appearance and look of this site. We are trying really hard to make it a place where you can discuss Rovers without it becoming like a school playground. We will also increase the numbers of articles that appear and perspectives on match performances. There is little point in providing match reports as message board contributors often have the best perspective.
Here’s hoping that the improvements make this a better place.
Update
There have been some comments about moderation. Our intention is to delete posts that are personally abusive. We will also delete posts and threads which are deliberately designed to be divisive. That's a judgement call on our part but a necessary evil. Repeat offences will result in accounts being suspended.

Onwards and Upwards!
Yes, I am irked by the situation and not all of us are pleased to have the Mary Whitehouse experience if it means hiding from the truth.
If a bit of harmless fun is also a no-no, then I doubt I’ll be sticking around.
Perhaps a new board protocol should be published so we all know what we’re buying into or not as the case may be.

Are the new management responsible for removing my factual, non-abusive post about the ticket fiasco I and others have experienced? If so, please explain the logic or are we to be a board that can only say positive things about the club, despite the repercussions of recent poor practice for certain individuals. I’m aware of somebody who’s not particularly in good health who has been impacted in a negative way by the prolonged mishandling of his situation and yes, the club have been made aware.

+1
And let's hope anyone who does ride off into the sunset doesn't do so as a result of being threatened via PM. Again.
Onwards and upwards.
I fear he hasn't finished but here's hoping admin do their job and keep this the best place to discuss, share information, praise, disagree, have a bit of a moan, or share nostalgia.

Maybe using words such as ‘problem’ or writing to Tranmere direct rather than using emotive words on here such as ‘fiasco’ would be advisable ? A ticket process issue will not be resolved by writing on here other than to raise your personal experience. Others said they had had no problem so the cause of your experience needs to be determined.
That is, state problems in as unemotional a way as possible and write to those responsible rather than to social media. It works for me!
The club has done so much for the community and has been affected by the pandemic and EFL decisions that have had ramifications on staffing.
Out of interest , has your experience been repeated? Does it happen every time?
I welcome the new administration.

That means “Yes”
Some of those preaching purity and non-emotive, non-conflictual contribution should take a breath and look back at their own history of posting (it’s easily done, even now and yes, I’m the research, forensic type). It’s that kind of rank hypocrisy that irks more than the adjudged ramblings of those who once walked this forum.
As already stated in my post “the club have been made aware”.
The ticket issue is not just an issue that’s affected me and my family members, but also a number of others that I’m aware of. If you’d been through the experience we have, you wouldn’t be as pragmatic about the choice of words and “fiasco” and its’ definition (a complete failure, especially a ludicrous or humiliating one) is an accurate description. Empathy is valuable in life. Any lack of understanding and concern for the health and well-being of a life-long Tranmere supporter who has mentally and physically suffered (that’s not emotive, it’s fact having been involved in picking up the pieces for that person) through the actions (or should I say inaction) of certain people at the club, clearly affects my sensibilities. Yes, the club do great things, but they’re not beyond reproach, whatever format that’s communicated in; we’ll all have our own personal avenues/sounding boards for letting off steam, formal and informal if you like. Looking back at historic posts on here, I think the vast majority have a good grasp of the issues around mental health and hats off to you all for that and let’s continue to be supportive.
Thank you to Aldo’smuzzy for being astute enough to highlight an historic issue.
Like I said, a new protocol would add clarity, it would need to include the fact that the sharing of personal experiences, presence of any emotion or the use of emotive words will lead to immediate expulsion.
In this new era of non-conflictual utopia, I can only apologise to you and others for my outburst and I’ll now go and crawl up into a corner or under a stone.
And nothing wrong with opposing views
And the club certainly don’t get everything correct …on and off the pitch
Best wishes to the life long tranmere supporter …a sad story …hope the club address the matter and learn lessons
The issue on the forum has been a mix of absolutely ridiculous posts ….tranmere to lose 10 nil….I went to Walsall by mistake …..etc etc plus conversations ending up with personal abuse
If the new admin can somehow cut out the above then great …
I did not create the baldy accounts nor have I had access to the passwords for a very long time, since the first split.
None of the original password holders have access afaik
You may want to ask which posters no longer contribute, and which will return with the demise of the baldy hive accounts and why this coincided with new admin.
This message will self destruct etc etc.
Hail hail

Anytime I post on the history of the baldy accounts or speculate on who went rouge with the passwords the posts are deleted and my account warned, so I can't be as open as I'd like.

I find as much interest and enjoyment in reading posts that disagree me, especially when linked to reason and not just assertion. Possibly, I am over sensitive but I never enjoy abusive posts whoever they are directed at.
The ticket issue is on-going and whilst some may have experienced no problem that is down to luck. The problem is real and not simply individual perception. When someone is on the wrong end of this it is totally understandable that frustration shapes the language that is used.
I have been critical of the current situation and such postings have been accepted, so I do not detect anything to suggest that criticism of the club results in posts being removed.
It has certainly been good this week to find posts have been worth reading rather than finding every thread hijacked by facile posts from multiple account holders.
An active administrator may not get every decision right but it is so much better than an unmanaged forum

It would suggest that yes.

Quote:He acknowledged that was involved in the past, though not responsible for them, in the original response. It was then edited to what you currently see shortly after - with the hint that he was being warned to do so - but not before I read it. Sadly I didn't get a screen shot. How much you believe it is down to you.Matt34Quote:Doogie'sGhostQuote:So, this is effectively an admission that you were, at some point, involved with the baldy hive accounts and had access to those accounts then?mrGr33n13

I was seriously thinking of leaving the forum, but now I don't have to.
Thanks for your efforts resolving the trolling issue in this group.
Quote:We are in trouble if you are seriously suggesting that the word "fiasco" is inappropriate on a forum... also to suggest that you aren't "allowed" to post negative comments re ticketing which has undoubtedly been shambolic, I mean having to collect matchday tickets between 7.15 and 7.30 at the supporter's coach fro the Swindon game is Mickey Mouse.TRSince1968Quote:White Noise

Contrast with how Walsall have handled it....

I would like to think that the new Admin (the concept of which I wholeheartedly agree with BTW) would however have had the courtesy to explain why White Noise post was removed and under what grounds but it would appear that has not happened as of yet?

It is quite clear that a range of views are being expressed and that misuse of the site has been reduced. If an administrator has to explain every decision publicly no one will do this unpaid job.
