Mac Summons Friends For Tsunami Match

Jason McAteer's creation, the Liverpool Legends vs Celebs XI is now finding players, we take a look. The Rovers skipper founded the idea and has worked on it ever since. The event will raise much needed funds for the Tsunami Soccer Aid.
Not many people will know, but the Liverpool Legends vs Celebrities XI Tsunami Football Match, was the creation of Rovers captain, Jason McAteer.
Speaking to the Official Site, Macca spoke of how he didn't feel right just putting money in the pot, instead he wanted to do something, hence the Charity Match.
The game which kicks off at 4pm on March 27th, will be held at Anfield. McAteer is pulling on a Liverpool shirt for the first time since 1999.
He spoke of how he felt Liverpool was the most ideal club possible. The Merseyside club, has alot of contacts in Asia, due to their annual tours of the continent. He felt it was alos fitting it was held their, the club where his career really kicked off and made him a household name.
He's let out some names for the Liverpool Legend side, but insists he won't say the celebrities side, keep people on their toes.
Some of the names revealed were : Neil Ruddock, Jamie Redknapp, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Kenny Daglish.
