Hume Warns Rovers Over Bantams Threat

Tranmere's top goalscorer speaks of how Bradford can change the game with their strikers. But he insists their defence has tightened up and they wont concede 5, but could well score 4 like last time as Prenton Park. He feels the Bantams have quality all over the pitch, but their attacking options are one of the strongest in the league.

Ahead of the weekend clash against promotion rivals, Bradford, Tranmere's top goalscorer Iain Hume has warned Rovers over the threat the Bantams hold.

Speaking to TEAMTalk, the Canadian international said:

"I think they played as well as they possibly could against us. We were frightening going forward too but a bit suspect at the back.

"We've put that right now so hopefully we can go there and get a result that'll keep us up there with Hull and Luton.

"Dean Windass is class isn't he? He's great at leading the line and they've also just got Andy Cooke as well."

The last time these to sides met was at Prenton Park, which ended in a thrilling 4-5 defeat. Hume himself was on parade that game scoring two, whic made the scoreline 4-4 fomr 4-2 down.

But as most Rovers fans know a last minute David Wetherall header gave the bantams all three points and a fantastic end to a magnificent game.

Hume is now one of the leagues most wanted striker, attracting attention from lots of clubs, ncluding Preston earlier this season.

Iain has thoroughly pledged his future to the club, signing a contract to last till 2007. THe striker promises theres still goals to come and hopes he will add to the Tranmere promotion campaign.
