Its well known Portsmouth are after a new manager, but is Little the man for the job? Pompey chairman, Milan Mandaric is searching for the man for the job, and to get Portsmouth out of the mess they currently find themselves.

Portsmouth chairman, Milan Mandaric, has pubicly spoken out of how he wishes to find a British manager with experience in the Premiership.

And one of these characters that fit the bill is current Tranmere manager Brian Little, who has been thrown in the pan.

It is believed that Little is one of the three managers who are top of the list for Mandaric, who is getting more and more desperate to find a suitable manager fast. Pompey seem to be on a downward spiral and Mandaric believes a new manager would help Pompey find form.

Little's Premiership experience comes from his days at Aston Villa, where he took them to the UEFA Cup.

Little's form as manager of Rovers has seen them climb up the League One table and now become serious challengers for promotion, something they haven't been since their relegation, from the then Division One, four years ago.
