Hume To Hop On A Tractor To Ipswich?

It keeps getting more and more likely that two of Tranmere's assets in the team are set to leave. This would be terrible news for Tranmere who have still not bought anyone. this summer. This might be due to the fact of money, and maybe selling to of our best players will bring in lucrative money to spend.

While all other rumours are circulating about Tranmere's right back, Ryan Taylor, it seems that his team mate, Iain Hume, might also been shown the door.

Already are there two clubs who desperately want the signature of the Canadian striker. Now that Ipswich know their fate, and will definitely be playing in the Championship again next year, after  the play-offs misery against West Ham, manager Joe Royle wants an even better team - therefore escaping the play-off lottery next year and getting automatic promotion.

Iain Hume, who rejected a move to Preston earlier this year, looks likely to exit the club now they have an unwanted season in League One again. Preston on the other hand could win themsleves a place in the Premiership if they win in the Championship play-off final. Is Iain Hume now kicking himself that he turned down the move?

On the otherhand, Coventry are also interested in the 21-year old. Coventry ahve been struggling and obviously need a stronger squad, manager Micky Adams must thing Hume is the man to do so. Reports suggest Hume is the number one target for the Sky Blues.

I cant see Hume going to Ipswich and getting a game every week. Ipswich have two class strikers, in Darren Bent and Shefki Kugi. But recently speculation has linked Kugi with a move to newly promoted Sunderland and could leave a gap for Hume to fill, is this Royle's plan.
