Rovers Boss For Vacant Derby Job?

It has become apparent that another Tranmere employee will be linked with another club, but it's not a player, which thats all it has been so far.

Yes, its manager, Brian Little. Today the Rovers boss has been linked with the vacant managers job at Derby County, after George Burley left, with unknown circumstances. Little's managerial has been catching the eye of many teams who are looking for a manager. Brian was also linked with a move to the Premiership last season, when Portsmouth where on the hunt for a manager with Premiership calibre and experience.

In his first full season, Brian took Tranmere so closed to promotion to the promised land, the Championship. Tranmere were very unlucky not to reach the play-offs final, with one season wrapped into one kick, the pressure was immense.

But recently it seems that Brian has other things on his mind, admitting that transfers are getting harder to finalise ever year, saying it's now not in the hands of the club interested, but the player.

Does Brian want to move, with the chance to redeem himself in the Premiership? Derby certainly were close to promotion this year, so is this what Brian has in mind?

But, I think that Brian will never leave an unfinished job. He doesn't seem that type, like your Hoddle's and your Keegan's who will leave a job they've started unfinished, for a better club.

After the loss in the play-offs it seemed Brian was up for the challenge but has the loss also meant that he has lost steam, and can't go through another tiring promotion challenge? Like all these rumours going around at the moment only time will tell.
