Record Breaking Season Ticket Sales?

Once again, Tranmere look to be heading for a another record breaking summer for Season Ticket sales according to Chairman Lorraine Rogers. Following on from last years record breaking amount that saw over 4,500 season tickets sold, it seems that last seasons success has had a positive effect.

Following last seasons disappointing climax that saw Rovers lose out in the play-off semi-finals on penalties to Hartlepool, the hope and expectation amongst fans would seem to still be high as season ticket sales continue to grow. Speaking to the Wirral News Group, Lorraine Rogers said “the club look to be closing in on last years record breaking season ticket sales figure of 4,600” and also added that “the demand has been really surprising” although surely Tranmere’s reasonably successful season just gone will have had some affect on sales. It would therefore seem likely that eventually that figure of 4,600 will be surpassed this summer and Rovers will go into next season with a record number of season ticket holders, which can only be good for next season’s hopeful promotion campaign. Only on Monday, the Club announced that it was extending the availability of season tickets right up until the eve of the new season - Friday August 5th 2005. The special deal gives purchasers of Adult, Senior Citizens or Young Persons (17-22) season tickets two free games, priority for all-ticket games and of course a reserved seat. The Superwhite Vouchers and one free Soccerbus Voucher are also included in the deal. For Junior season ticket buyers, three free games will be offered in the deal, or five if accompanied by an adult.
