Total Tranmere brings you all the information you could need to know about Rovers visit to Southend’s Roots Hall Stadium. We have information on where to eat and drink around the Stadium and we also have travel details and directions to make your journey and visit as comfortable as possible.

Away Fans: 2,000 Seated in the Universal Cycles North Stand. (Also 700 in West Stand if required).

At the Ground
Where to Eat and Drink:
Refreshments are available within the Ground selling the usual Burgers and Pies and Chips but there is also a Chip Shop across the road from the Ground.
There are a number of Pubs in the area surrounding the Ground with away fans seeming to favour the Spread Eagle and Golden Lion just opposite the Main Stand Car Park.
Getting To the Stadium
Car Parking: There is a Car Park behind the Main Stand which costs £5.00. Otherwise there is plenty of Street Parking behind the Away Stand.
By Road: Exit the M25 at Junction 29 and follow the A127 towards Southend Town Centre. At the traffic lights in the Town Centre carry straight on at the Bell Pub. At the next roundabout, remain on the A127 by taking the third exit (right) and just past the next set of traffic lights, you’ll see the Ground on the right. Turning right as you reach the Ground will take you behind the Away end where there is Street Parking.
You advised to leave plenty of extra travelling time if the weather is fine as the A127 can get very busy with day-trippers to the Seaside.

By Rail:
The nearest Station to the ground is Prittlewell NOT Southend Central (which is 25 minutes walk from the Ground). Prittlewell is served by trains from London Liverpool Street Station.
Exit the Station and turn right until you come to the traffic lights at the crossroads. Pass the ‘Fish House’ Chip Shop and then turn right. The ground is on the left after about 100 yards.
Train Costs:
Liverpool Lime St. to London Euston: Prices start from: £22.00 for an Adult and £22.00 for a Child on a Saturday Day Out Ticket which must be booked in advance up to 18:00 hours the day before you travel. Seat reservations are compulsory on this ticket for the outward journey.
Fares that are not pre-booked start from £55.00 for Adults and £27.50 for a Child
Chester to London Euston: Prices start from: £55.00 for Adults and £27.50 for a Child.
On arrival at London Euston, the usual advice is to take the Northern Tube Line from Euston to Moorgate, then change for the Circle, Metropolitan or Hammersmith and City Tube lines to Liverpool Street.
From there trains to Prittlewell can be taken costing £11.00 for Adults and £5.50 for Children.
Trains to Prittlewell run every 20 minutes and the journey time from Liverpool Street to Prittlewell is around 55 minutes.
Tube Tickets for Zone 1: (which will get you to Liverpool Street from Euston) are £4.70 for Adults and £1 for a Child if accompanied by an Adult (Four Children allowed per Adult).
Due to the recent terrorist attacks in London, certain Tube lines and stations are not currently open so you may need to check before travelling on the Tube.
