Rovers draw Rochdale in LDV Vans 2nd Round

After defeating Lincoln City in the first round of the LDV Vans Trophy on Tuesday night, Rovers have now been against another League Two side in the second round. This morning’s draw saw Rovers drawn against high-flyers Rochdale at Prenton Park I what will be a difficult tie for Brian Little’s men.

The live TV draw for the LDV Vans Trophy 2nd round this morning, saw Rovers become the first team out of the hat in the Northern Section of the draw and they were followed out by Rochdale, meaning a meeting of two teams who not met since 1988.
The tie will be played in the week commencing 21st November with ticket details to be announced by the Club at a later date.
Rovers were of course knocked out of the LDV Vans in the area semi-final at Oldham on penalties last season with Wrexham going on to win the Trophy against Southend United at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
