Davies joins Club captain Jason McAteer on the sidelines with the midfielder also suffering from a knee injury that will keep him out for a further two weeks of the campaign.
The injury will be a personal blow to Davies who has had a good recent run in the first team which he capped with the opening goal, Tranmere’s first in over eight hours of League football away at Doncaster two weeks ago when Rovers recorded a 2-0 win.
The injury to Davies may offer a chance to his fellow striker Calvin Zola in the next few games whom after last season’s terrible campaign that saw him unable to play due to Visa problems has then missed some of the early part of this season through injury.
