Rovers Sign Blades Defender Francis On Loan

After the comments between Manager and Chairman during the course of the week, its little surprise that the week has ended with the Club signing a new player. Sheffield United defender Simon Francis has signed for Rovers on a months loan deal and will wear the currently vacant number two shirt.

The 20-year old will wear the number 2 shirt that has already been worn by former loanee Alex Bruce this season.
Francis is also available to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game away at Scunthorpe but will be unavailable for the home LDV tie against Rochdale on Tuesday night.
Speaking to the Official Website about his latest signing, Rovers Manager Brian Little said, "Simon comes from a good club and has been playing first team football this season.He is very mobile, quick, strong and is a good passer of the ball."
