Tranmere have announced that on-loan Luton Town goalkeeper Dino Seremet will remain at Rovers for a further two months after an initial one-month loan spell was due to end. The extended loan deal will give Rovers some goalkeeping cover during John Achterberg’s extended absence.

Seremet Loan Deal Extended

Dino joined Rovers on loan on from Luton Town on New Years Day after an injury to Steve Wilson in addition to the earlier injury picked up by first-choice keeper John Achterberg, left Rovers with just youngster Philip Palethorpe as the goalkeeping choice.

Having never met his fellow players until the day of the game, Seremet made his debut on January 2nd in the 3-2 home victory over Rotherham United and since then has made four further appearances, keeping clean sheets in all four as they all ended 0-0.

With Achterberg out for a further three weeks after more surgery, the extension of Dino’s loan makes sense as it will give Rovers ample cover until the big Dutchman returns to action.

Many fans have been impressed with the Slovenian stopper and some will hope that Seremet will be offered a permanent deal in the summer.
