Greenacre is Total Tranmere’s Player of the Season

The results of Total Tranmere’s Player of the Season Awards brought up very few surprises in terms of the winners. We asked you to vote for your Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Goal of the Season and after two weeks of voting we can now reveal the winners.

 

Two weeks ago we asked you to vote in the Total Tranmere Player of the Season Awards and in the end the results threw up few surprises with the results going the same way as the Official Awards which were announced just a week ago ahead of the home game against Doncaster.

 

Player of the Season:

 

Chris Greenacre – His 18 goals helped Tranmere to avoid relegation to League Two in a disappointing season and as with the Official Awards, he deservedly gets the Player of the Season Award.

 

Young Player of the Season:

 

Carl Tremarco – Carl has broken into the first team on a more regular basis this season and has impressed at both left back and left midfield.  Many fans see Tremarco as a capable replacement for the likely to depart Gareth Roberts.

 

Goal of the Season:

 

Gareth Roberts v Chesterfield Away – Run close in our vote by Sam Aiston’s second goal against Chesterfield at Prenton Park, Gareth Roberts takes the award for his stunning free-kick at Saltergate in the opening weeks of the season.
