Rovers Begin at Home to Oldham

The announcement of the fixtures for the forthcoming 2006-07 season has confirmed that Rovers will begin their campaign with a home game against Oldham Athletic on Saturday 5^th August meaning Ronnie Moore faces his former Club immediately.

The home game is followed by two away games in a week against newly promoted Cheltenham Town and then Gareth Robert’s Doncaster Rovers as Tranmere will be hoping to get off to a decent start this season.

In the crucial Christmas Period, Rovers face Huddersfield away on Boxing Day before a difficult trip to Nottingham Forest in the final game of 2006. 

Rovers begin the new year with home games against Rotherham and Northampton and also play Blackpool away and Brighton at home over the Easter Weekend.

Rovers campaign will finish with a home game against Brentford on Saturday 5th May 2007.
