John Mullin Becomes Moore’s Third Signing

Tranmere have today confirmed the signing of former Rotherham Midfielder John Mullin on a two year deal. Mullin becomes Ronnie Moore’s third signing since being appointed as Manager just a few weeks ago.

 

Rovers have this morning announced the signing of former Rotherham midfielder John Mullin on a two year deal following the recent arrivals of Robbie Stockdale and Kevin Ellison at Prenton Park.

 

Mullin 30, played for Ronnie Moore during his Managerial spell at Rotherham and is described by Moore himself as a midfielder who likes to get forward and get goals.

 

Mullin began his career at Burnley before a move to Sunderland which then saw him make loan spells at Preston and Burnley before he signed for the Clarets again permanently.

 

After just over two years back at Turf Moor, Ronnie Moore then swooped to sign the midfielder for Rotherham for £150,000 where he has spent the last five years of his career making 173 appearances and scoring 14 goals.

 

Speaking to the Official Website this morning, Ronnie Moore said “I bought John when I was at Rotherham so I know him well.  He has a good engine and likes to get forward.  Hopefully he will get goals for us as we are looking to be an attacking side”

 

According to reports, Rovers are also expected to complete the signing of striker Gareth Taylor later today.
