Gerrard hoping for festive cheer

Liverpool skipper, Steven Gerrard, is hoping that his team come out of the festive season with enough points to keep them at the top of the Premier League table. They are currently top of the league with 1 point clear of second placed Chelsea. Gerrard knows that coming out of the festive period still top would send out the message that Liverpool are genuine challengers this year.
He said:
"We're coming up to Christmas and that's when things really start to take shape," Gerrard told the club's official LFC Magazine.
"The festive season might not be as congested as it has been in the past few years in terms of the number of games we're going to play, but the results are more critical this season than they've been for ages - because of where we find ourselves in the league."
Well, as Gerrard has said being top at Chrimbo will be sending out that messege that we are ready ta fight. How will fans react ta us being Champions if that happens like winning the European cup in 2005 lucky & muddling through.
But then we still beat the cream of the crop in Europe & come back from the dead gainst Milan, no mean feat that.
As I have said it's over a very long gruelling season & many a tough game.
So Champions are champions however ya win it in my view. But thats is a way off, like Gerrard is thinking lets hope we can
keep up that momentum & be top at Chrimbo.
Bring on game by game & worry bout our own results....
