Dirk likely to sign new contract

Dirk Kuyt has spoken of his wish to sign a new contract for Liverpool FC. The Dutch striker says he likes it at Liverpool and can see an exciting future for the club.
Kuyt said: "My contract has one more season to go after this but there are things happening.
"We have had some talks and I can only say it looks positive.
"I feel at home in Liverpool and I don't want to leave here.
"It has been a difficult time for everyone at the club with the changes that have happened since last summer but now I can sense something good is happening - I think Liverpool are on the way back."

Go away you donkey! Hope the club don't sign you or use you as benchwarming for the real 11. To old ,never had any speed or football skill/guile. Your only good for coming out in the press with Lucas and kissing the manager insitu's ass!!!!

I would sign him up straightaway.
Not saying as a regular starter but he is the sort of player every squad needs: a consistent 100%er. Rarely has a shocker and is capable of contributing with an important goal or pass.
Yes he has his faults: first touch is non existent and he has no pace but he tries his heart out every game and deserves respect for that.

Johan Cruyff described Dirk as the lynchpin of the Dutch national side that got to the world cup finals .Benitez and Kenny always play him but hey what do they know about football?
