Gerrard Will Not Be Going! - Rafa

Hardly a week goes by now without renewed speculation over the future of the Liverpool captain. Rafael Benitez admits he's not worried about the constant rumours linking Steven Gerrard with a summer move away from Anfield

It is becoming a constant source of irritation to Liverpudlians but Benitez is not concerned and remains confident that Gerrard will remain the fulcrum of his team for some time to come.
 
"We know some people want to perhaps disturb him," said Benitez today. "Some newspapers just want to sell more copies. What more can we say than it's not true!
 
"We speak with Stevie all the time and he knows we are working hard to improve our level. We have signed Morientes and Alonso, we have Cisse, Baros and a lot of other good players.
 
"He must just concentrate on this club and the team. He wants to win. We want to build a strong team around him, not without him. My English is not that good but when I say around him I do not mean without him!"
