BENITEZ: WE DESERVED OUR WIN

Rafael Benitez felt Liverpool thoroughly deserved the 3-1 win over Fulham and said his team are striving for consistency in their game and trying to mount a good run of wins in the Premiership.

Liverpool have put the pressure back on Everton by reducing the gap to four points and after the recent blip Benitez said it is important to keep winning.
 
Benitez said: "We have won three games in a row which is important for the confidence as we are trying to be consistent."
 
"In my opinion we started very well and scored a fantastic first goal from Morientes. We then conceded a goal and we were nervous but in the second half we got control of the game and had more ideas and played wide."
 
"It was important for Milan Baros to score and he works hard. He wanted to score and it was good for him and for us."
