HYYPIA WILL TAKE ANY SORT OF WIN ON SUNDAY

Sami Hyypia doesn't care how Liverpool beet Chelsea in Sunday's Carling Cup final aslong as we come out victorious. For all he cares it could be the most boring spectacle this seasonso long as we beet them.

Hyypia is well aware of the task ahead of the rest of his team, especially the defenders as they have deal with the likes of Damien Duff, Didier Drogba and Eidur Gudjohnsen.

The two previous fixtures between these two sides this season have resulted in defeats for Liverpool with Joe Cole scoring one goal in each of the games to give his side the victory.

"The fans may not agree with me but from a defensive point of view I hope it's a final with not many goals," says the highly regarded central defender."
 
"For me, it is important that we stay tight as a defensive unit and I'd much prefer us to win 1-0 than say 5-4, like we did against Alaves in Dortmund." 

One of Liverpool's most experienced players, when it comes to cup finals ensures that everyone in the club is pumped up for the big game. 

"It's a cup final, there is a trophy to be won and we are ready for it. We have good memories of playing the League Cup Final in Cardiff and we hope to continue our good record this weekend."
 
"As we've seen this week, Chelsea are not unbeatable. We played a very good game against them at Anfield and we will take heart from that performance."
 
"We are pretty confident after the result against Leverkusen in midweek. We have suffered from inconsistency this season but we know what we have to do to put things right." 

Hyypia has already played four times for Liverpool in Cardiff and gas enjoyed his experiences there. 

"On the day it is always fantastic to win a trophy and we know that we'll have 35,000 supporters with us in Cardiff, so it means a lot. There will be a great atmosphere in the stadium, as usual, and it will be a great day."
 
"We have a new manager and a new bunch of players, so there are few people within the squad who haven't been to the Millennium Stadiumbefore and for them it will be a great experience."
