Xabi back for Champions League? (football 365)
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso could return from injury in time to help the Reds in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Boss Rafael Benitez now says he could be back to play in the second leg of their quarter-final ckash - scheduled for April 12/13.
Benitez said: "If everything continues okay, I hope Xabi will be in full training by the last week of March. He will be like a new, very important player for us.
"Maybe Xabi will be available for the second game of the quarter-final.
Hamburg eye Reds ace (Sky Sports)
Igor Biscan's agent has revealed his client is attracting interest from Bundesliga outfit. Biscan's agent Gordon Stipic has now announced Hamburg are keen on him and that his long-term future could be finalised within a month. Hamburg. "I know that Hamburg are thinking about him," revealed Stipic to Hamburg-based newspaper Die Welt.
"In the next two or three weeks things could become more concrete, but first we will have to talk to Liverpool about Igor's sporting future."
