Jamie Carragher says Reds must push for fourth.

Jamie Carragher says he and his team mates gained a great deal of confidence from the win against Everton yesterday. He believes that they should now build on that win and gain a Champions League spot

Carragher said: "Obviously winning a derby is extra special, but the match against Bolton is just as important for us now. It's imperative we build on this win and get ourselves into the Champions League.

"Everyone has to make sure we're up for the Bolton game as much as we were yesterday. We don't want it to go flat like it did against Blackburn.

"Don't get me wrong, it's not that we didn't try against Blackburn, but if we're going to get in the top four I think we've got to reproduce the spirit and atmosphere of yesterday.

"The fans can play their part in that too. We've all get to pull together to get us into fourth.

"Obviously a derby game is different and you're never going to get the same kind of atmosphere against other teams, but in the current circumstances this win will only mean a lot more if we keep producing the same level as we did in this match."

The Reds defender says the derby win meant so much to Liverpool especially after Everton's victory back in December.

Carragher said: "I thought the first game at Goodison should have ended in a draw, and yesterday we could have been five up before they got back into the game.

"No disrespect to Everton, but I thought we were much the better side. The gap between us shouldn't have been seven points before the game.

"If we hadn't suffered the injuries during the match, I think it would have been dead and buried. We were virtually down to nine men at the end because Luis Garcia had a knock and could hardly run."
