Newcastle and Villa interested in Vignal?

On loan Liverpool player, Gregory Vignal, is free to leave Liverpool at the end of the season after a successful loan period with Glasgow Rangers and Liverpool have no wish to extend his contract.

The French defender is keen to stay at the Scottish club but has failed to agree terms. Newcastle and Aston Villa are believed to be interested but his agent has said


"He will probably not return to France," said Phillipe Flavier. "Gregory wants to stay in Scotland or England.

"We have heard that Newcastle and Aston Villa are interested and other clubs too, but I have not met with any English club."

"Everything is still open for Glasgow too. Okay, we did not find an agreement but the two parties like working together.
