Bolo Zenden has been talking about his enjoyment of life since joining the European Champions. The great history and fantastic supporters of the club were one of the main reasons he decided to come to the club.

Zenden told liverpoolfc.tv:

" I was actually on holiday when I watched it and in the hotel they put up a big screen but it wasn't actually working as the image was blurred and there was no sound. I wanted to see it so I went back to my hotel room. I watched the first half in my room and when the first goal went in after just one minute I said 'oh no, the game is gone' because normally with Italians they lock the door and nothing comes in or out. Then it was 2-0 and 3-0 and I just couldn't believe it.

"So at half-time I left my room and went downstairs again and they had a tiny TV showing the match.

"The thing that surprised me was, although I wasn't there and experiencing the atmosphere, the only thing I heard on the TV even though Milan were 3-0 up was the Liverpool fans singing and shouting and supporting the team. That must have given a massive boost to the team and it was absolutely fantastic.

"I watched the second half downstairs and then obviously it went from 3-0 to 3-3. I remember the magnificent save Jerzy Dudek made from Shevchenko that gave a big boost to Liverpool. The penalty shoot-out was one to remember as well. I also saw some pictures of the team touring the city the next day and it must have been amazing for the players, it was such a fantastic sight and it's something you never forget.

"I remember when I was at Barcelona and if you were losing at half-time or even drawing they were not as good as the Liverpool fans were in Istanbul. With Barcelona the fans expect the team to be winning all of the time so when they are not they can be a bit harsh."

Bolo says he has already seen how special the club is.

"I watched Liverpool when I was younger in Holland and remember Ian Rush scoring lots of goals. Liverpool is known all over the world. There has been some fantastic nights at Anfield and some fantastic games as well as some fantastic records. Liverpool has always been a club to watch.

"You only have to walk around Anfield and everywhere you walk you can see a piece of history. If you walk through the club offices you can see images of Keegan, Rush and Dalglish and around the corner you find Toshack. You know it never stops and it is just great to be a part of this. I'm very pleased and proud to be a Liverpool player and I want to make history again with this club."

He also believes that Liverpool is such a great club with the pulling power necessary for attracting new talent and believes that most players would like to put on the red shirt at Anfield and play for such a great manager as Rafael Benitez.

Zenden said: " When Liverpool knocked on the door for me I was delighted and it was very easy to make a choice. It's a fantastic club with a fantastic history and to be able to take part in that and to make history in the future to come is a good thing.

"Everybody still talks about what Rafael Benitez did at Valencia. They want to copy his working methods and like I say the fact that Liverpool, the European Champions knocks on your door it is easy for a player to make a decision to sign for them.

"I have seen some magical nights at Anfield and I've always entered the field as a visitor, so I'm just delighted now to get out there and be on the home side."
