Cisse hints at departure from Anfield

Djibril Cisse has hinted that he may be forced to leave Anfield if he can't secure a starting line-up place. Cisse, who is currently on International duty with France, has started only one of Liverpools last five league games.

He said:

"It's fair to say I've had a very good start to the season in terms of scoring goals," said Cisse. "It is frustrating to not be always in the starting line-up, but the coach makes his choices.

"I haven't had any talks with Benitez about that, he hasn't given me any explanations, but I have a normal relationship with him. I accept his choices, we will see later what could happen. But I am patient."

Cisse added:

"Obviously, I won't spend the whole season on the bench, but we are just at the start of the competition. It is a period for experimentation. The coach is trying a lot of things, so I have no reason for being worried.

"I am waiting, hoping it won't last too long. But if the situation does not improve for me, perhaps I will have more words in December."
