Cisse doesn't want to leave Liverpool

Djibril Cisse has confirmed his aim is to stay at Anfield after Marseille have shown further interest in signing the 24 year old striker. Cisse is Liverpools top scorer with 11 goals in 22 games and looks to be a starter in tonights game against Real Betis.

Of Marseilles interest he said: "I am not worried about being linked with other clubs and while it is good to have a club want you, my intention is to stay here. "I feel good here and do not want to go, but it is not up to me. If you asked me, I do not want to leave Liverpool." Cisse also said that Thierry Henry, the Arsenal ace, has been a big help to him and has shown him great support. Cisse said: "I have to do much more to win over the manager. I know I can do better. "Thierry has helped me a lot in trying to do that. We talk when we are away on international duty with France and he says that I have to keep going, to keep believing in myself. He told me to be strong and it will come eventually. "He is surprised that I score whenever I play for France, but not so much for Liverpool. I know I could score more goals and I know I must work harder to do that."
