Winning is the antidote to fatigue - Hyppia

Winning, the perfect antidote to fatigue Sami Hyppia believes that the way to stave off fatigue is to win matches. Sami scored the match winner against Wigan on Saturday in what was Liverpools 43rd match of the season.
He said:
When you win games, mentally you feel fitter and healthier. That helps the physical side," says the Anfield veteran.
"If you're feeling a bit tired, when you've won three points and you look at the table and see you're up there, you don't feel it. When you have a bad period, it's more difficult to cope with tiredness.
"Winning on Saturday is good for us and we have a big enough squad to cope with all these games.
"We've played since July 13 so it's been a long season already with many games. Those games won't stop because we've two games a week.
"We have to be ready for that and the manager will rotate a lot to give somebody a rest sometimes. That's good for the squad. There are times when we'll need a rest.
"I'm not a young boy anymore. I've noticed the recovery period is longer as you get older. Sometimes when you play two games in a week you only have a two day gap between games and it's harder. But I do my best and give 100% every time I play.
"Daniel Agger has come in and he's a very good player, but it takes time to get used to the tempo of the Premiership.
"He's working hard every day and we have to help him to get fit and prepared for the Premiership as soon as possible because he would help me and Carra because we've played the most games in the squad."
