XABI AND SAMI BACK FOR THE REDS

Rafa Benitez insists that the Reds FA Cup quarter final at Birmingham will not affect his starting line up at against Newcastle at St James Park on Sunday.

Liverpool will have only 48 hours in which to recover before the cup match. Benitez though is only thinking about the next match.

He said:

"You need to analyse the squad and if you can manage both games at the same times, you will," explained Benitez.

"The priority is always the next game. We will not say we will play best players in one game or keep them for another. We need to keep winning because it's good for confidence."

Liverpool will welcome back Xabi Alonso and Sami Hyypia for this weekend's game after both missed the rout of Fulham through suspension and injury respectively.
