Victory will set the record straight-Penney

Rovers manager Dave Penney has set his sights on a win against MK Dons, believing that it will eradicate the painful memories of the heavy defeat against Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday. Doncaster were humiliated 4-0 against Paul Sturrocks men infront of their home crowd last weekend.

Penney admitted the result was a disappointment for everyone concerned and is determined for his players to respond in a positive way on boxing day.

Penney said:
"It's crucial to win on boxing day to banish the memories of the Wednesday game".

"It's also important our fans get behind the team. We've given them plenty to cheer about over the past few years so now I hope they can do us a favour"

"It will be a tough game with them appointing a new manager recently. They'll be looking to impress Danny Wilson and show him what they can do"
