Johnson Stay Delights Penney

Doncaster Rovers Manager Dave Penney is delighted that on-loan stirker Simon Johnson is staying at Belle Vue for another month.

Johnson has bagged himself 2 goals in 7 appearances for Doncaster and Penney is ready to extend the loan for a third month if the 21-year-old continues to impress.

 

Penney said:

 

"He's an important player and he's done very well for us.”

"In his seven games he's had for us he's only scored a couple but I've played him in a few different positions, out wide and down the middle, so he's a flexible player to have in the squad which is good.”

"When he has played down the middle he's done very well. He had seven games in a short space so we'll watch him in the next month and if he does well we might extend his loan for another month."
