Penney Doesn’t Want to Disappoint

Doncaster manager Dave Penney doesn’t want to name the clubs latest transfer target incase Rovers fail to sign him.

Chairman John Ryan revealed in the matchday programme against Brentford that the club is tabling a 6-figure bid for a striker.

 

But Penney does not want to reveal who is it incase the club is unsuccessful in their attempts which will disappoint the fans.

 

Penney said:

 

"It's good to have a bit of speculation but the supporters will only get disappointed if it doesn't happen. If you name names other clubs might come in and try to get them.

"When we've got someone and they've done their medical and it's all sorted we'll let you know."
