Penney’s Reason for Playoff Failure

Doncaster Manager Dave Penney has blamed a lack of goals for Rovers’ playoff hopes nearly burning out.

Rovers have scored 46 goals in 37 games and Penney believes Rovers need to score more.

Penney said:

"We haven't created enough chances for our strikers - although saying that, I though we had a couple of chances last week [against Brentford] which we could have done better with.

"We haven't been able to put a run of wins together, and that comes down to goalscoring. We haven't got anybody above 10 goals this season."
