John Doolan has confirmed that to his relief, Doncaster Rovers have offered him a new contract.

The 30-year-old’s deal ended in the summer but the central midfielder wished to remain in South Yorkshire.

The club has offered him a new 1-year deal which he is expected to agree to.

"I didn't want to leave Doncaster and didn't want to go out on having a good season and that been the end of it"
