Reports in Tuesday's Mirror say that City are about to make a £10 million bid to bring ex rag, Jaap Stam back to Manchester. Stam, who made a £15 million move to Lazio after daring to criticise Sir Purple Nose is apparently locked in talks with Keegan.

Stam has suffered a torrid time since his arrival in Italy, being banned for using the banned substance, nandrolone.
Lazio are well known to be in serious financial difficulties and may well find it hard to resist an offer of £10 million for their wayward star. The move for Stam, if proved to be true, represents Keegan's true ambitions for Manchester City.
For Stam, the oppurtunity would exist to prove a certain Sir wrong in his decision to replace him with the ageing Blanc.
We shall watch developments with baited breath.
Even whilst we watch, Stam's agent has rubbished reports of the move, dismissing the speculation as rubbish. Probably the first of many rumours now the end of season is upon us.
