Killen with 4 as reserves beat Liverpool 6-0

A city side put together from acadamey players brushed aside a Liverpool side full of experience, by an amazing six goals without reply.

New Zealander, Chris Killen claimed 4 of the goals with Joey Barton and Tery Dunfield grabbing one each.
The only players in the City side with any first team experience were Dunfield, Killen and Shuker, and very limited experience at that. In contrast Liverpool started with Heggem, Vignal, Biscan, Barmby, McAllister, Berger and Diomede in their side. Alas it did the Scousers very little use as they fell to City's promising crop of youngsters.
Results like this show the Academy system to be working, let's hope the production line of old is starting again.
