Blackburn Preview

Kevin Keegan looks set to make changes when City entertain Blackburn on Sunday.

Darren Huckerby is nursing an injury and looks unlikely to make the squad leaving the way open for Shaun Goater to make his first start of the season up front with Nicolas Anelka. If Huckerby does fail to make the squad Matias Vuoso could be set for a place on the bench after his midweek hat trick for the reserves.

Danny Tiatto is another pressing for a starting berth who could well find himself starting in place of Niclas Jensen after the Dane was found wanting for Arsenal’s first goal in midweek.

Blackburn will be without Irish sensation Damian Duff, who sits the game out through injury, and will parade an ex rag forward line of Cole and Yorke. The Rovers defence looked rather dodgy in midweek when conceding three at home to Chelsea which should hopefully play into City’s hands with their attacking brand of football.

It’s a welcome back to Maine Road to Gary Flitcroft with him hopefully going away unhappy. City need to win after suffering another away defeat, this time at Arsenal, and I fully expect them to do so 3-0 if we can keep eleven on the pitch.
