City extend Kit Deal

City have today announced a 12 month extension to the current kit deal with Le Coq Sportif. The deal, believed to be a six figure sum, will mean Le Coq will supply the kit in City's final season at Maine Road.

There will be definately be a new away kit released in the summer, with the club saying that it will reflect City's "rich heritage and Colourful history". So god knows what that means, hoefully a return to the red and black stripes, although the old diagonal black and red stripes on a white shirt have been mentioned. Rumours also persist that City are also about to dump shirt sponsors Eidos, with a major insurance company set to take over. This would naturally mean a new home shirt as well (nearly as bad as the rags).

In other news, the club are appealing that supporters stay off the pitch after the Barnsley and Portsmouth games. With the threat of a suspended sentence hanging over them they are naturally worried about any draconian punishments that would be handed out to them. Personally I can't see much else other than a fine, but let's not risk it after all the hard work. STAY OFF THE PITCH.
