Pearce linked with Coventry job

Stuart Pearce has been linked with the vacant managers job at Coventry City. The link came as Coventry fired boss Roland Nillson and his assistant Jim Smith.

Pearce was always going to be linked with any vacant managers jobs after his decision to retire from playing football. The fact that the first job that has come along is one of his former clubs makes that link even stronger.

With City struggling to create a coaching role for Pearce, and his own wishes not to play in the Premiership, the Coventry job would be seen as an ideal oppurtunity for Pearce to further his managerial career.
